The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) is a program of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). ARES and Amateur Radio Emergency Service are registered service marks of the ARRL. The ARES logo used by Banks County ARES is used by permission. All ARES records, membership rosters and other data pertaining to the ARES program, wherever located, are the property of the ARRL.
Award graphics (for awards not managed by us) and their descriptions are owned and controlled by the award granter. The same applies to certification graphics, those organizations who certify us own their respected graphic(s) and any copyrights fall to them. We do provide a link back to the granter usually under or attached to their award/certification graphic(s).

We at Banks County ARES take your privacy as seriously as we take our own. We completely refuse to sell or give or in any way transfer our client list including but not limited to any e-mail address, name, phone number, postal address, likeness, etc. We also go one step further by refusing to do any business with any company or organization who doesn't hold themselves to a privacy policy such our own.
We do collect information about the browsers that surf our website. Our logs are generated by our web hosting service FortuneCity and so we have no control over their privacy policies nor how their cookies or image tags are applied. However we have locked the directories that hold onto these anonymous log files and only persons under our direct control view these log files upon computers within our own secured network.
If you sign up for our newsletter(s) or Google Group it is of your own free will. Please do be aware that we will be e-mailing you a copy of this newsletter to the e-mail address you provided as it is published. This isn't spam, we hate spam as much as you do.
We strive to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and Rule (aka-COPPA&R and aka-COPPA) as such we do not automatically attempt to collect any personal information about our visitors of any age. The notable exceptions of our information collecting are with our Newsletter(s) or Google Group which collect e-mail addresses by the user's own free will. Note again that we utilize FortuneCity as our hosting service provider and we use their site log program(s) and Google's Analytics. The data collected is archived in a secured manner on a secured network. The data we retrieve from our logs is basically how, when and where a user entered and browsed through our site and also includes basic browser reporting information such as screen resolution and operating system. We use this information to better our web site and bring more content to our visitors.
